The seafront car park has been opened

Eagerly awaited by local residents and shopkeepers, the new seafront parking spaces were officially opened on Monday 29 June. A total of 68 spaces, including one reserved for people with reduced mobility, are now available to the public. The project was funded by the local authority to the tune of €296,981. A second phase of works is now set to continue the development of the seafront. A pedestrian walkway, a pétanque court, an outdoor sports area, a five-a-side football pitch and a space to accommodate a food truck will complete this urban development project. 
“For this project, the design was carried out by our in-house teams and the works are being carried out by external contractors,” explains Jean-Mathieu Derville, project manager within the Local Authority’s Living Environment and Ecological Transition Department.
