Eagerly awaited by local residents and shopkeepers, the new seafront parking spaces were officially opened on Monday 29 June. A total of 68 spaces, including one reserved for people with reduced mobility, are now available to the public. The project was funded by the local authority to the tune of €296,981. A second phase of works is now set to continue the development of the seafront. A pedestrian walkway, a pétanque court, an outdoor sports area, a five-a-side football pitch and a space to accommodate a food truck will complete this urban development project.
“For this project, the design was carried out by our in-house teams and the works are being carried out by external contractors,” explains Jean-Mathieu Derville, project manager within the Local Authority’s Living Environment and Ecological Transition Department. According to the technical teams, the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. L.G
