The Local Authority has announced that resurfacing work and the completion of speed bumps on several roads will begin on Monday 14 September. During this phase of road resurfacing works, it is urging motorists and motorcyclists to exercise the utmost caution.
Several areas of the territory are set to have speed bumps installed. The locations were chosen in consultation with the departments responsible for road safety. To date, new speed bumps have already been installed, but the road markings and signage will not be finalised until later this month. Concrete resurfacing
work on Rue du Chirurgien in Sandy Ground is scheduled for 21 to 30 September. Other works will take place on: Route de Spring in Concordia until 18 September 2026, followed by road markings on 8 October; Route du Morne Valois and the Agrément roundabout from 23 to 24 September; Rue Low Town, with road markings on 9 October; Friar’s Bay, second phase from 14 to 18 September; the Rambaud Road, from 18 to 22 September; and Terres Basses, from 21 to 24 September.
