Football: talent is flying away!
Great pride for the Saint Martin Football League this week: Akeelah Hunkins has been selected for the training camp at the Clairefontaine National Centre, and Laureincio Dormoy and Ylann Romney will represent Saint Martin in the Antilles-Guyana Interleague programme!
Akeelah Hunkins is currently training at the temple of French football, the National Centre in Clairefontaine, as part of a U15F training camp for the French team. The programme for this high-level immersion includes physical tests, intensive training and tactical matches. This training camp is a key step towards the U15F national training camp and the dream of wearing the French jersey. A great achievement for the young girl.
Among the boys, two other young talents, Laureincio Dormoy (Saint-Louis Stars) and Ylann Romney (Junior Stars), accompanied by FFF technical advisor Gilles Petit, will represent Saint Martin in the INTERLIGUES U14G Antilles-Guyane programme.
The programme includes intense days under the auspices of the FFF with cutting-edge technical workshops (speed, juggling, ball control, small-sided games), sessions dedicated to goalkeepers and 11-a-side matches to put what they have learnt into practice. The objective is clear: to join the Antilles-Guyane selection. Two great opportunities for these young people.
