The refurbishment of the Grand Case sports ground will begin on 22 July and will take place in several phases, the first of which involves replacing the sports equipment. Between 22 and 24 July, two new basketball hoops – out of the four existing ones – and two football/handball goals will be installed. This will involve cutting the surface, earthworks and the pouring of concrete foundations, using construction machinery. Motorists are asked not to park nearby whilst the work is in progress, to allow access for the machinery. Pedestrians are asked not to walk on areas where concrete has just been poured until the concrete bases have completely set. This work will continue with the installation of lighting, followed by the complete resurfacing of the ground in the coming months.
