Marigot Showcase: a shared shop for designers and artists
Creating art is always deeply rewarding, but selling it can sometimes be more difficult due to a lack of visibility. The CCISM (Chambre Consulaire Interprofessionnelle de Saint-Martin) and the Collectivité de Saint-Martin are opening a shop in the heart of Marigot for the island’s craftspeople, designers and artists.
Located in the centre of Marigot, this future space will offer a flexible solution enabling local entrepreneurs to test their business in real-world conditions, launch new products, build their customer base and gain visibility. Like a business incubator, the commercial space will be shared to optimise costs and services. A call for applications is now open to all entrepreneurs and craftspeople with a SIRET number, as well as to associations engaged in the commercial sale of goods. Applications will be assessed based on product quality, the coherence of the offering, and the applicant’s ability to fit into the shop’s overall concept. Spaces will be offered for periods of three to nine months at a monthly fee of €460 for 8 m² of space, including a counter and shelving, water, electricity, internet access, maintenance and marketing. The shop will open in early June on the corner of Rue Félix Éboué and Rue Victor Maurasse and will be open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 7pm. For more information, visit: www.ccism.com/la-vitrine
