Every year, as the festive season approaches, Father Christmas’s House at Cripple Gate delights young and old alike. Decorations, illuminations and festive displays make it one of Saint Martin’s most eagerly awaited Christmas events. This family tradition has been going strong for over 45 years thanks to the passion of the Jo family and the hard work of the volunteers who keep it alive. To offer the public an even more spectacular 2026 event, the team needs support and is launching an online fundraising campaign with a target of €10,000 to renew the decorations and illuminations, purchase materials, create a new installation and cover the costs of opening the event and welcoming visitors… because, let’s not forget, admission and the entertainment are completely free for visitors. Preparations have already begun, so time is of the essence. The fundraising campaign, organised by the Good Friend charity, is open until 15 December. Anyone can take part, whatever the amount (gofund.me/43ba6cbbb).
The theme for the 2026 edition will be revealed in the coming weeks. The exhibition is scheduled to open to the public on 6 December 2026. Be generous, donate and share – that’s the true spirit of Christmas!
