Regional Beach Tennis Championships: 24 titles for the Northern Islands
On 23 and 24 May, 88 competitors took part in the regional beach tennis championships organised by the Guadeloupe, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy League, held for the first time in the region by Friendly Caribbean Beach Tennis.
This 15th edition particularly highlighted the excellent results achieved by the clubs from the Northern Islands (Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy), which won 24 championship and runner-up titles out of a possible 32. Friendly Caribbean Beach Tennis alone won 10 medals, a record-breaking total. The teams crowned champions in the eight categories have secured direct qualification for the French Championships, which will take place in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne from 18 to 22 August, alongside the best French players from the 18 leagues across mainland France and the overseas territories. Other teams are also expected to be selected to take part in this major national event. A superb team performance that confirms the growth and dynamism of beach tennis across our regions!
