Coastal Challenge? Challenge accomplished!

This was the new feature of this season, the new 100% nature race offered by Dream of Trail, the Défi du Littoral. From Orient Bay beach via Cul de Sac to the Froussards and Mont-Vernon trails before returning to the starting point, 85 runners took part in the event, which combined physical performance with beautiful scenery!

There was a lot of enthusiasm from the runners and walkers at the start of this course, which ultimately proved to be quite difficult. In the 14 km race, the leading trio finished in a very close race: Gaultier Mathieu de Fossey took first place overall in 1:11:45, ahead of Grégory Pigeon who finished in 1:13:04 (1st in the over-40s category) and Vincent Roucaute (1:13:34). The first woman, Florentine Hope Rose (18th overall), completed the race in 1:30:57.
Among the walkers, René Arnell finished first among the men in 1:15:10, and Akua Codjo Sodokine finished first among the women in 1:17:48.
Given the success of this first edition, Dream Of Trail is already setting the date for next year. Well done for the beautiful plants given to the winners in each category, 100% natural!
