Beach Tennis: Lots of news

Last Saturday, FCBT (Friendly Caribbean Beach Tennis) hosted the Northern Islands U18 departmental round of the Guadeloupe League Interclub Team Championship at its Colombier courts. Three U18 teams, including two from FCBT, were competing for a place in the regional round, which will take place on 25 May… in Saint Martin! Indeed, it is FCBT that will host the qualifying round for the Antilles-Guyana Championship. A fitting return, as the club’s senior team are the reigning champions and have qualified for the French Team Championships. The U14s and Seniors, meanwhile, travelled to Saint-Barthélemy this weekend with the same objective and faced teams from KKo Beach Tennis and the OBC of Saint-Barth. Also worth noting is the 2nd Saint-Martin Beach Tennis Open (BT 1000), a competition that combines sport and Saint-Martin culture, featuring matches, entertainment and local craftspeople, which will take place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March on the club’s courts.
