Cancer: screening continues

Although the October events to support the fight against breast cancer have now come to an end, screening continues. The health promotion department of the Guadeloupe General Social Security Fund, in collaboration with the ARS, the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and healthcare professionals, is organising information and screening days in early November.
As well as breast cancer, these sessions will also focus on cervical cancer and colorectal cancer. Healthcare professionals will be present on Wednesday 4 November, from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm, at the Maison de la Solidarité et des Familles in Quartier d’Orléans (11, rue Coralita), then on Thursday 5 November, again from 8 am to 2 pm, at the Concordia PMI (10, rue Mont Carmel).
These screening sessions, which are free for everyone, help to detect any abnormalities at an early stage and thus increase the chances of recovery. It’s a great opportunity to take stock of your health, because when it comes to cancer, prevention and screening remain your best allies!
