Launch of the European Commission’s advisory service for the outermost regions

This advisory service is aimed at the nine outermost regions (ORs): Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint Martin for France; the Azores and Madeira for Portugal; and the Canary Islands for Spain. It aims to support the new strategy for the ORs by offering bespoke advisory services that help to narrow the gap with the rest of the Union, promote sustainable and inclusive growth, and strengthen regional integration, competitiveness, resilience and social equity in these territories.
The advisory services may cover any EU policy and/or programme and are aimed at regional authorities, organisations and entities based in the outermost regions, in particular those likely to become beneficiaries of projects funded by EU programmes and funds. These services, offered free of charge by the Commission, are provided by consultants coordinated by Ecorys, who offer tailored support adapted to the specific needs and objectives of each beneficiary. This is a dedicated advisory service which does not include any financial support and does not cover the preparation, drafting or submission of funding proposals in response to competitive calls for proposals under EU programmes.
Applicants may be public and/or private organisations from any outermost region, either as individual applicants or as joint applications submitted by entities from several outermost regions.
