A BTS in Tourism starting in September 2026
The Robert Weinum school is focusing on training that is directly linked to the needs of the local tourism sector for the coming academic year. Available as an initial training course or a work-study programme, this new BTS Tourism course will be open to students with general, technological and vocational baccalaureate qualifications.
"Welcome, travel, promote": these are the three pillars around which Robert Weinum General and Technological High School has structured its new BTS Tourism programme, which will welcome its first cohort in September 2026. This ambitious programme is designed to meet the specific needs of the local tourism sector. Open to high school graduates, this course aims to be inclusive and professionally oriented. Candidates will be able to enrol via Parcoursup, but also opt for a work-study programme, a format particularly suited to the realities of the field and which will facilitate students' entry into the job market.
A collaborative programme
The school's management does not want to create this BTS in isolation. On the contrary, it is calling on economic players in the tourism sector to work together to build a curriculum that is truly rooted in the practices of the sector. Hotels, travel agencies, tourist offices, tour operators, France Travail, CCISM and the airport are invited to contribute their expertise to define the skills and attitudes expected of future graduates. "We want to train operational professionals who are in tune with the realities of the field," emphasises Catherine Auguste, Deputy Director of Vocational and Technological Training. This collaborative approach has one central objective: to guarantee the immediate employability of students in the Saint-Martin labour market. By training the professionals of tomorrow, Robert Weinum High School aims to contribute to the influence and professionalisation of this strategic sector.
