Luciana Raspail appointed Chief Executive of the CCISM
By appointing Luciana Raspail as Chief Executive, the CCISM has opted for experience, but also for expertise drawn from within its own ranks. Out of a dozen applications considered, it was in fact an internal candidate with deep roots in the local area who was selected.
Luciana Raspail knows the organisation inside out. She joined the CCISM in 2011 as a secretary and has held various posts in the Business Formalities Centre, the Export Department and the Business Support Department, before becoming deputy director. Fifteen years of hands-on experience, coupled with continuous professional development culminating in a Master’s 1 in Management and International Business, followed by a Master’s 2 in Human Resources. For President Angèle Dormoy, this appointment also sends a message: an institution must not only be able to attract new talent, but also recognise those who have developed their careers within its ranks.
Drawing on her in-depth knowledge of the organisation at all levels, Luciana Raspail has set her sights on making the CCISM a local player, a partner to businesses and a driving force behind Saint Martin’s economic development. She now intends to use this experience to help the CCISM become more closely aligned with businesses, more agile and more focused on the needs of the region. Her first official engagement in Paris, at CCINERGIES – the annual seminar of the CCI network – and at Choose Outre-mer, organised by the Ministry for Overseas Territories, is already part of this commitment to opening Saint Martin up further to the wider world. Luciana Raspail succeeds Julien Bataille, who stepped down from his post last January.
