Princess Walk

In this month dedicated to raising awareness of the fight against breast cancer, let’s take a look at the activities and events not to be missed in the coming days – for yourself, for others and, above all, to support this cause!

The Pink Walk in Galisbay

The Twirling Entertainment charity is organising the second edition of ‘The Pink Walk – Pink Wig Edition’ this Sunday, 11 October, in collaboration with Saint-Martin Trails and Ofara Beauty & Artistry.
We’ll be heading there dressed in pink and wearing a pink wig to support those battling breast cancer and to celebrate those who have survived the disease (breast cancer also affects men). The event will begin at first light with ‘Face & Body Arts’, hosted by Ofara Beauty & Artistry, from 5am to 6am. The walk will set off from the Galisbay car park at 6am. Breakfast will be provided for participants at 7.30 am, followed by a Zumba session with Nico at 7.45 am.

Ladies’ Night at Friar’s Bay

Le Manteau de Saint-Martin / ALEFPA is organising its annual ‘Ladies Night’ in support of the fight against breast cancer. The 2026 event will take place at La Plénitude, in Friar’s Bay, on Wednesday 14 October at 7.30 pm. Information and bookings: 06 90 64 92 66.

Princess Walk in Juliana

Following the success of last year’s event, Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA), in collaboration with the Elektralyets Foundation and the Positive Foundation, is back with the Princess Walk, a walk organised on the airport runway… a unique opportunity that only happens once a year! This second edition will take place on Sunday 18 October 2026, under the theme ‘Lace up your trainers, take action, get screened! ’ The aim of this theme is to encourage women to look after their health, undergo regular screening tests and understand the importance of early detection. Participants are expected at PJIA at 4.00 am to register before being taken to the track by bus between 4.45 am and 5.15 am. The walk will start at 5.30 am. Water and Johnny Cakes will be available to participants throughout the event.
Please note that throughout October, the façade of Princess Juliana Airport will be illuminated in pink and a pink ribbon will also be displayed at the airport in memory of women who have died from the disease, as well as to pay tribute to those who have beaten cancer.
And if you’d like to contribute in another way, you can buy the official Princess Walk T-shirt ($20) on 8, 10 and 15 October in the airport’s arrivals hall, between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm. The proceeds will be donated to the Elektralyets Foundation and the Positive Foundation to support their work in raising awareness, providing education and facilitating early detection of breast cancer.
