Louis Mussington in the neighbourhoods

02 March 2026

Since the beginning of February, Louis Mussington has been holding numerous meetings in neighbourhoods, demonstrating a desire for direct dialogue with the population.

Presented as a community outreach initiative designed to listen to residents and gather their concerns, these public meetings are nevertheless taking place in a political context where every initiative is viewed in light of the upcoming elections. Louis Mussington began his series of meetings with the public on 2 February in Sandy Ground, focusing on the theme of youth. On 10 February in Bellevue, he invited the residents of Saint-James to come and share their ideas and express their needs or grievances. For this third meeting, in Agrément on Friday 6 March at 6pm (rue Nana Clark, in front of the Assemblée de Dieu d'Agrément, entrance to the Scoot residence), youth will once again be on the agenda, but this time in conjunction with safety. The President of the Collectivité wishes to pay tribute to Alan, the 22-year-old who lost his life last month in a motorcycle accident. He was not wearing a helmet. He invites all young scooter drivers to attend "in memory of Alan and out of respect for his family." Twenty-two helmets will be distributed, in reference to his age, with a simple and vital message: "Never without my helmet."
