Street lighting in Quartier d’Orléans

Work to replace street lighting on several streets in Quartier d’Orléans, which began on 26 October, will continue until Tuesday 22 December. It will take place during the day, from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm. The streets affected will be Sparrows, Pigeons, Trush and Yellow Breast Lane.

Graves: authorisation for work

The Local Authority’s funeral service reminds members of the public that anyone wishing to carry out work on a family grave in a public cemetery must apply for prior authorisation. The closure of burial vaults is strictly regulated. No burial plot will be granted if the vault has remained open. Affected families are urged to contact the funeral service without delay to apply for permission to carry out work and to arrange for the closure of their burial vault. Furthermore, the Collectivité reminds families that they must regularly maintain the graves of the deceased and that rubbish must be placed in bin bags at the cemetery entrance.
