The charity Les Fruits de mer is distributing a new colouring and writing book, inspired – as ever – by the island’s culture; Soualicolor was created in partnership with Erica and Laticha Stephen of the ‘Soualiwomen Kultural Association’. Together, they have created this book, suitable for very young children, which is packed with colouring pages featuring heritage themes such as music, dance, traditional dress, Carnival, livestock farming, agriculture and the culinary traditions of Saint Martin. Each colouring page is accompanied by related words in English, French, Spanish and Dutch, as well as a second page where children can practise writing the words. To find out more, come along this Sunday, 5 July, between 9am and 12 noon at the Old House on the road to Quartier d’Orléans.
