Animal pound: 7–22 September

The animal pound will once again be operating in the area from Monday 7 September for just over two weeks. Its role is to catch stray dogs on public land. Owners are therefore asked to keep their pets on a lead and to supervise them, even after the catch-and-release period. As a reminder, Territorial Decree No. 033-2014, which regulates the conditions for keeping pets and their movement on public roads, stipulates that it is forbidden to allow animals to roam freely within the territory of the Collectivité. Owning a pet is a responsibility that requires the owner’s full attention. To prevent any incidents, dogs must be kept on a lead and so-called ‘dangerous’ dogs must wear a muzzle.
