For some forty years, Alain Warth has been committed to promoting the expertise and gastronomy of France's overseas territories. It is in this capacity that, by decree of 23 February 2026, the Ministry of Overseas Territories, awarded him the gold medal of honour for overseas commitment, on an exceptional basis.
A specialist in communication and events, Alain Warth is behind numerous projects dedicated to promoting culinary heritage in France, but especially in overseas territories. He is responsible for Gault & Millau Antilles-Guyane, among other things... He has organised countless conferences, festivals, seminars and competitions. In Saint Martin, he is known as the president of the Association des Chefs Restaurateurs de Saint Martin, but also for recruiting and supporting chefs during several editions of the Festival de la Gastronomie. His latest idea? A trade fair entirely dedicated to chocolate and pastries, the first of its kind on the island. For the record, the Chococarib' fair will be held from 14 to 16 March at the Anse Marcel Beach Hotel.
