French pianist Marieke Huysmans-Bertou sails the world’s seas aboard her schooner, Lady Flow, with one distinctive feature… she has brought her piano on board. Her 12-metre-long two-masted vessel certainly doesn’t go unnoticed, with its pirate-ship look, especially as the piano has been installed in the aft cabin and rises onto the deck as if by magic at the touch of a button! For over ten years, the artist has been sailing from port to port in this way, performing in concert under the name Pianocéan. She will be stopping off in Marigot this weekend. The public can enjoy a piano and vocal concert on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March at 7pm by simply settling down on the Front de Mer quay to listen to the Irish songs that Marieke is particularly fond of, as well as Portuguese fados, folk music and more. The event, supported by the Port of Marigot and the Collectivité, is free for all.
