Screening campaign for young athletes
The Centre of Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) is launching its talent identification campaign for the 2026/2027 sporting season. This initiative aims to identify and recruit new talent for its eight Regional Sports Centres (CSTs).
Through its Performance Pathways Programme, the CEES offers young athletes comprehensive support that combines academic excellence, sporting performance and civic engagement. This scheme enables student-athletes to develop within a structured yet demanding environment.
Talent identification trials are open in eight different disciplines: athletics, basketball, beach tennis, cycling, football, gymnastics, tennis and sailing. The talent identification period within the clubs will run from 1 to 26 April. The CSTs will then have until 3 May to submit their list of shortlisted athletes to the CEES. Candidates and their families are invited to contact the relevant clubs, associations, leagues or sports committees directly to obtain detailed information regarding the dates, venues and times of the talent identification sessions.
