The Orléans Boxing Club SXM and ABC Intersport will be taking part for the first time in an international amateur boxing competition held in Quebec City, Canada. David Rioual and Markey Archibald will be representing Saint Martin.

More than 500 amateur boxers from various countries are expected to take part in this sporting event, which will run from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May. Each club will field one boxer: David Rioual, aged 17, in the 70kg category for ABC Intersport, and Markey Archibald, also aged 17, in the 65kg category for the Orléans Boxing Club. They will be accompanied by their respective coaches, Philippe Arrendel and Leonardo Incardona. This participation marks an important milestone for amateur boxing on the island, highlighting the work done by local clubs to train and support young athletes as they progress to international-level competitions. Both delegations hope to represent Saint Martin with dignity and gain valuable experience against opponents from different backgrounds. Good luck to our young boxers on this first Canadian adventure!
