Cycling: Asthan Benitez crowned U17 Islands champion

A student-athlete at the Centre for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) and a member of the ASCESM club, the young cyclist from Saint Martin won the gold medal at the Guadeloupe Islands Championships following a gruelling race. Fresh from his title as Islands Champion in the U17 category, he made a highly impressive appearance at the Neighbourhood Olympics held in Sandy Ground last Friday. At 15, Asthan Benitez is now one of the rising stars of Saint Martin cycling.
