Work stoppages across the local authority: what is the situation in the various departments?
Since the start of the month, several of the Collectivité’s departments have been affected by various issues. Some have been able to resume normal operations, whilst others remain at a standstill. An update on which services have reopened and which remain closed.
The good news for all members of the public who need to obtain a vehicle registration certificate, or to collect or renew their driving licence, is that the licensing department is up and running again. The IT fault has been resolved. As for the Maternal and Child Health Service (PMI), whose premises were closed due to odour issues described as toxic, the necessary work has been carried out and has revealed a plumbing fault. However, according to the UNI.T 978 trade union, this public health service is now facing another problem: a shortage of vaccines. No date for reopening has therefore been announced to date. As for the ‘Solidarity, Health and Family Delegation’, the situation remains at a standstill. Meetings with the Local Authority and Semsamar, the owner of the premises, are taking place one after another, but the fifty or so staff members who have been on strike since 2 July are still waiting for portable air-conditioners to be installed.
As for their other demands, according to the UNI.T 978 trade union, these have not been met. The results of the tests carried out on the mould proliferating on the walls have still not been communicated to them. The centre remains closed to the public.
