Right of reply: STIS 978

Following the article published on 29 May, STIS 978 would like to clarify a number of points:

No STIS 978 firefighters are on strike. Rescue, firefighting and life-saving operations for people and animals are being carried out as normal, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The situation referred to relates to an individual dispute concerning a recruitment procedure conducted in accordance with the applicable rules, which has no impact on the commitment of the firefighters.
It should also be noted that the industrial action currently taking place concerns another public authority.
The STIS 978 teams remain fully mobilised in the service of the public, with professionalism and continuity.
STIS 978 reaffirms its commitment to the public emergency service and to maintaining constructive dialogue with all institutional and trade union stakeholders.
