‭ ‬In February 2025‭, ‬elected representatives signed the “Relance framework agreement”‭ ‬for renovation works, ‬modernisation and extension‭ ‬of the existing facility for a total amount of €4,405,637‭.‬

On 23 September, Prefect Cyrille Le Vély signed the order authorising the installation of 80 cameras. The groundworks required for the roll-out of the fibre-optic network are already underway, in coordination with the renovation of the street lighting network.
The roll-out by area (Marigot, Concordia, Grand-Case, Sandy Ground / Baie Nettlé, Belle Plaine, Oyster Pond, Terres-Basses, Bellevue, Quartier d’Orléans, Cul-de-Sac, Cripple Gate / Colombier) is scheduled to take place over a two-year period, from 2026 to 2028. The Collectivité states that installation will therefore begin shortly, but funding still needs to be secured from the State, for which an application has been submitted under the Interministerial Fund for the Prevention of Delinquency.
Plans also include the reconstruction of the Urban Surveillance Centre at its original location (the Semsamar building). Essential to the system’s operation, it will be managed by the Territorial Police, in partnership with the gendarmerie. The Sint Maarten CCTV centre, meanwhile, has been operational since February 2019.
