For those who may have forgotten, the new school term is here, and with it come new measures, such as the blue zone in Marigot town centre. The parking disc is now compulsory from this Tuesday, 1 September.

It is compulsory to display the blue disc on your dashboard on Rue de la République, Boulevard Huber Petit (opposite the West Indies Mall), Boulevard de France (on the side with the shops only), Rue du Général de Gaulle and Rue du Président Kennedy. The maximum parking time on these streets is limited to 1 hour 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm. Outside these times (in the evening after 6.00 pm, on Sundays and public holidays), parking is free without a disc. For those who arrive late, parking discs can be obtained free of charge from the Hôtel de la Collectivité or the territorial police station in Marigot, at all Cadisco petrol stations and at the Blue Point petrol station. Offenders face a fixed penalty of €17 and may have their vehicle towed away.
