Following the territorial elections – with the first round on Sunday 14 March 2027 and the second round on Sunday 21 March – voters in Saint Martin will once again be required to go to the polling booths on Saturday 17 April for the first round of the presidential elections. The second round will take place on Saturday 1 May… one day before the vote in mainland France, to allow for the time difference.

To vote, you must be a French national, aged 18 or over, in full possession of your civil and political rights, and registered on the electoral roll. The standard deadline for registering to vote in the first round of the presidential election is Friday 12 March 2027.  To find out whether you are registered on the electoral roll, simply check online (https://situation.elections.interieur.gouv.fr/). On the website, by entering your surname, first names, gender and date of birth, as well as your municipality (Saint-Martin 978), you can find the address of the polling station where you are registered, your national voter number and any proxy votes you have received or granted. You can grant a proxy to a family member or a trusted friend at any time up to one day before the election (https://www.maprocuration.gouv.fr/).
The official list of candidates will be published by 26 March at the latest.
