An American man suspected of stealing $46 million in cryptocurrency was arrested on Wednesday evening in a house in the French part of the island. The man, considered the main target in a cybercrime investigation, was arrested during a joint operation carried out by the GIGN (Guadeloupe branch of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He has been placed in police custody.
