Shopkeepers need to be even more vigilant during this off-season, as, just like every year, it brings with it its fair share of robberies. On Thursday afternoon, it was the Grand Case chemist’s that fell victim to one. An armed man stole the cash from the till. The same modus operandi was used at almost the same time the following day, Friday, this time at the Leader Price supermarket in Mont Vernon. Once again, the man made off with the day’s takings. The gendarmerie and the Public Prosecutor’s Office have declined to comment on these two violent incidents. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has, however, stated that an investigation is underway into the second robbery.
