Grand Case Tuesdays: a colourful finale
To round off the season, this Tuesday, 21 April, the final parade of the Grand Case Tuesdays promises to be the most colourful yet.
Initially thrown into disarray by a cancellation due to a lack of funding, and then disrupted twice by adverse weather conditions, the event ultimately featured six events for the 2026 edition.
Launched on 24 February with a carnival-themed parade, the programme was set to run throughout March. As is often the case, unforeseen circumstances disrupted the schedule. Following a parade dedicated to the ocean on 3 March, the ‘White Parade’ scheduled for 10 March had to be cancelled due to the weather. The season then continued with the ‘Golden Parade’ on 17 March, followed by the ‘Pirate Parade’ on 24 March. The event scheduled for 31 March was also cancelled in order to put pressure on the authorities to secure the grant. On 7 April, the public finally got to see the ‘White Parade’ again, accompanied by the ‘Light Parade’.
Scheduled for 14 April, the closing event was once again postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Les Mardis de Grand Case will therefore draw to a close this Tuesday, 21 April, with the “Colorful” parade. From 6pm to 10pm, stallholders will also be present on the boulevard for this final event of the year.
