That's it, the festivities are over. For a week, the 2026 carnival took over the streets of Marigot, sweeping young and old alike into a whirlwind of colour, music and energy. This year's event once again confirmed the island's unique place in the Caribbean carnival scene.

To the echo of the drums from the last parade, the "Momo" was traditionally burned on Wednesday night in Marigot. And with it, a week of festivities that lived up to all its promises. The 2026 Saint Martin Carnival bowed out on a high note: more people marching in the streets, original parades full of colour and choreography, and crowds flocking to admire the spectacle. The participating troupes brought energy and inventiveness to the event that clearly left a lasting impression. The organisers, for their part, expressed satisfaction that went far beyond the parades alone. Concerts, sports training sessions, deboulés: every event on the programme found its audience and contributed to giving this edition a special flavour. "It was a very successful edition. The creativity and unfailing commitment of the participants made this carnival a celebration to be proud of," they summed up. This sentiment was shared far beyond the island's borders, as the live broadcast of the event allowed the festivities to travel and generate enthusiasm among thousands of viewers.
The next edition will take place from 30 January to 10 February 2027, and there is already a desire to go even further.
