Trees to discover and plant

Par La rédaction
25 June 2026

The ‘Les Fruits de Mer’ association is becoming increasingly prolific and has published its 60th book. ‘Arbres pour moi et mon île’ joins the extensive collection of books dedicated to Saint Martin, its flora and fauna. As always, it is bilingual (English and French) and features 18 native trees that can be planted, without restriction, in your garden or neighbourhood. For each tree, the book details its specific characteristics and provides advice on how to plant it. The book will be officially launched and distributed free of charge this Saturday, 27 June, between 9am and 12 noon at the Amuseum Naturalis (The Old House on the road to Quartier d’Orléans).  Seedlings of some of the trees will also be given out. The book is also available as a free download at http://lesfruitsdemer.com, and for purchase on amazon.com worldwide.
