Businesses in difficulty: measures to help them recover
Tight cash flow, a downturn in business, unpaid bills, debts or unforeseen events: no business is immune to difficult times. To help business leaders take action at an early stage, the CCISM and its partners are organising an information session on Wednesday 9 September, from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to outline the main measures that can be put in place before the situation deteriorates. The Prefecture’s departments, the CFIP (Centre for Public Finance) and the CGSS (General Social Security Fund) will, in particular, explain how the COTEFi (Territorial Committee for the Examination of Business Financing Issues), whilst Catherine Carmont will present the CCISM’s CARE unit (Business Regularisation Support Unit), which is responsible for supporting businesses facing difficulties. A round-table discussion will then bring together a court clerk, a commercial judge, solicitors and an insolvency practitioner to explain the various preventative procedures, debt restructuring options and solutions tailored to each situation. The main aim is to emphasise that, when it comes to financial difficulties, time is of the essence: the sooner a business owner seeks help, the greater the scope for action.
