To mark World Poetry Day, established by UNESCO, the Collectivité and its Cultural Affairs Department are once again organising the ‘Jardin des poètes’, which this year will be held under the theme ‘Rhythms & Jazz’, in honour of Lady Bute. This cultural event aims to promote poetry by offering enthusiasts and lovers of verse a platform that showcases spoken word. The event, which is free to the public, will take place on Saturday 21 March at 6pm in the magical setting of the Lady Ruby Silk Cotton Estate in Friar’s Bay, a veritable green oasis where words come to life. This year, poetry lovers will be able to enjoy original poetic works by Tamara Groeneveldt, Audrey Claxton, Safiyya Chance, Lucinda Larich Audain, Valérie Vial, Léon Noel and Yellow Guavaberry.
