The magic of the brain

Ilva Scali is a charming magician who performs on stages all over France (she is, after all, the French Magic Champion!). She will be making a special appearance at Aux Mets Tissés this Saturday for a truly astonishing illusion show… and all for a good cause: Art For Science, which will also be hosting mini-talks on how the brain works. After all, isn’t magic generated by the brain? The effects of art on the brain (and magic is a form of art) will be explained, backed by neuroscience studies validated by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Sensory pleasures won’t be forgotten either, as Chef Olivier from the restaurant Aux Mets Tissés will be preparing a refined cocktail reception for the occasion. A raffle in aid of the charity will also be held during the evening (tickets €5, on sale at the door).
Saturday 25 April, from 7pm to 10pm, Aux Mets Tissés at Hope Estate. Bookings (€25 for the magic show, €55 for the show, talk and cocktail reception): via Facebook ‘Art for Science’.
