‘Festiween’ holiday club

The Caisse Territoriale des Œuvres Scolaires is organising a group childcare scheme for children during the All Saints’ Day holidays, from 19 to 29 October. Children aged 3 to 5 will be looked after from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Evelina Halley, Émile Choisy, Ghislaine Rogers and Jean Anselme schools. Children aged 6 to 12 will be looked after at the Clair Saint-Maximin, Émile Choisy and Elie Gibs schools, also from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The programme for all children includes sporting, educational, cultural and craft activities, with a touch of Halloween fun.
Fee: €60 to €65 for two weeks (depending on parents’ income). Registration: CTOS annexe (former E. Halley School in Marigot) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm, and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. Enquiries: 05 90 27 94 84 or 06 90 88 20 15.

Halloween at the Galion Ranch

From 27 to 31 October, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, the programme will feature horse-riding activities, outdoor games, the unmissable pumpkin carving and other Halloween traditions, and a best fancy dress competition. Price: €300 per week. To ensure parents can also enjoy this festive time of year, the Ranch will also be organising a ‘Halloween Party’ on 31 October, with a welcome cocktail at 7 pm, whilst the children explore the terrifying world of creatures from beyond (€5). Everyone can then enjoy a surprise meal at 8.00 pm (€25), complete with a fancy dress competition and an equestrian show, followed by a massive foam fight at 9.00 pm.
Bookings for the course and the 31 October event: 06 90 76 96 24

La Noctambule, the unmissable event

Halloween wouldn’t be the same without La Noctambule. On the evening of Saturday 31 October, trail runners – as well as walkers of all ages – can take part in the event as either a run or a walk (4 km or 8 km for those aged 18 and over). Face painting and sweets at the start, glowing surprises and decorations all along the route, and a pasta party at the finish… all whilst dressed in a spooky costume, of course, as there’ll be a prize for the best costume! Registration is compulsory (online) and race numbers can be collected on the day, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, in the Galisbay car park. Information on Facebook: Dream of trail Sxm.

Halloween football camp

From 19 to 23 October, Soccer Five is getting into the Halloween spirit. Football will be at the heart of this camp, but there’ll also be plenty of craft activities and all sorts of themed entertainment. Children aged 6 to 9 can take part either from 9.00 am to 11.30 am or from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Price: €150 per week for half-day sessions or €250 for full-day sessions including lunch. Bookings: 06 91 27 91 21.

All Aboard at the Waterside School

For the All Saints’ Day holidays, the waterside school has chosen a pirate theme, with games, an orienteering race, boat-building, a film, a baking workshop, discovery outings and a fancy dress ball on the programme.  Book via WhatsApp: 06 90 77 26 55.

Mega Splash Party

The Pirate Park in Marigot is offering a fun-filled day out for children (aged 4 to 12) by organising a mega splash party this Sunday, 18 October, from 2 pm to 6 pm. A giant water fight, a foam party and water games, all set to music and featuring entertainment – they’re sure to love it. Bookings (€25, including a snack): 06 90 66 99 88.

Sailing course at Friar’s Bay

As it does during every school holiday, Saint Martin Voile pour tous is offering a course for children aged 5 and over; an introduction to sailing under supervised conditions, available in the morning or as a full day, as you prefer. Price: from €100 per week for half-day sessions. Bookings: 06 90 71 29 98.
