Chess tournament at Charlie’s

A new venue will host this Sunday’s chess tournament on 26 April: Charlie’s restaurant in Simpson Bay. Open to everyone – locals and tourists, beginners and experienced players alike – the games will start at 2 pm and the tournament will consist of seven games of 2 x 10 minutes. To take part, you must register in advance with the referee: 06 90 55 12 14. It is worth noting that last Sunday, the ever-present Yashwant Vaswani once again came out on top against Stan Van Liere, but the next generation is already here and more and more young people are taking part.
