Risk prevention: SISMIK Week

The Prefecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin is organising the fourth edition of SISMIK Week, dedicated to earthquake risk prevention in Saint-Martin, from 12 to 16 October.
The aim of this event is to raise awareness of earthquake risk amongst schoolchildren, particularly in primary schools, in order to foster a genuine culture of risk awareness across Saint-Martin.
The Red Cross (PIRAC) will be involved in raising awareness amongst pupils and teachers. This fourth edition will be complemented by the publication of awareness-raising materials on the Prefecture’s website and social media channels. A page containing guidelines on what to do in the event of an earthquake or tsunami is also available on the Prefecture’s website.
