Lydia Lawrence puts Saint-Martin in a bottle
The Saint Martin singer has just launched "Eau de Saint Martin", a collection of perfumes with local scents, available on the island, in Paris and soon throughout France.
We knew her for her voice, and now we are rediscovering her for her creative talents. Lydia Lawrence, an iconic figure in Saint Martin's music scene, is reaching new heights with the launch of Eau de Saint-Martin, her own line of perfumes and cosmetics created in collaboration with local institution Tijon Parfumerie. Behind this project lie three years of work, patience and passion. The result is firmly rooted in the island's identity: from the design of the fragrances to the carefully crafted packaging, everything is designed and manufactured locally. The women's fragrance that opens the collection unfolds a generous bouquet of citrus, vanilla, amber and musk, also available in creams and body lotions. The range is already available at Grand Case Airport, Captain Frenchy and the Goldfinger boutique in Marigot, as well as in Paris, with plans to expand to the rest of France in the near future.
A multifaceted artist
"I've always dreamed of releasing my own perfume. I want my customers to be able to feel a little bit of the island's sunshine wherever they go," says the artist, whose ambition goes far beyond this first bottle. Eau de Saint-Martin is just the starting point for a much bigger adventure. A men's fragrance is already in the works, with a targeted release date for Father's Day, and a whole range of cosmetics is expected to be launched in 2026. Lydia Lawrence intends to make Saint-Martin a true olfactory signature, recognised far beyond the Caribbean.
