Image Makers: A Call for Creativity

Par La rédaction
26 August 2026

The Collectivité of Saint Martin is launching a call for projects entitled ‘Passeurs d’images 2026’, aimed at cultural, social or educational organisations, youth organisations (leisure centres, youth information points), organisations providing social integration or support services, organisations specialising in cinema, audiovisual media or the media, and artists or artistic collectives, in partnership with a local lead organisation.

This call for projects forms part of the cooperation agreement on cinema and the moving image between the State, the Prefecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin (DAC Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin), the National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image, and the Overseas Collectivity of Saint-Martin. Centred on the theme ‘Inventing cinema in a different way’, it comprises two strands: a film education component aimed at supporting the organisation of workshops focusing on artistic practice and the exploration of audiovisual language, and a ‘distribution’ component aimed at supporting the organisation of film screenings accompanied by discussions with the audience, in unconventional venues. Particular attention will be paid to projects that promote gender equality (both in the target audiences and within the project teams), social diversity and intergenerational engagement (providing spaces for dialogue and sharing), and that encourage social and professional integration. The application pack can be downloaded from the local authority’s website (https://www.com-saint-martin.fr under the ‘News’ section). Completed applications must be sent to directionactionculturelle@com-saint-martin.fr by midday (local time) on Wednesday 30 September. Enquiries: 05 90 87 50 04 or 0690 63 91 25.
